Facebook won't accept my .mac.com address

It accepts Outlook and gmail ... :P

It won't let me search for and add my friends, like all of you wonderful folks here on DU. :P

I suspect that's why it won't let me complete my profile either. I tried to update my work info and it wouldn't save any changes. :P

So is facebook PC Only friendly? Do I have to get a gmail address just to use with facebook?

1. ummm.....

online websites are cross-platform. It is very simple to move a .mac account to gmail. If you look in the HELP section on gmail, it will tell you how to do everything you need to.

2. But that's bogus

They should be able to accept mail accounts from all suppliers.

and yeah, the screen renders just fine in Safari. But I dislike jumping hoops, unless there's a legit reason.

3. not that many people use .mac

compared to gmail, hotmail, aol, and yahoo. It doesn't make business sense for FB to spend time doing that.

4. I use it with an I-mac.

My email is at Hotmail.
