Pics from Maui...
From our trip last week:

There are some good whale shots, but they need editing...

maybe I'll post them later this weekend.

:hi:

1. Oooohhh, I'm jealous!
It looks like you went to Lahaina and Io (sp) Valley. Did you take the road to Hana?

3. Correct... Lahaina and Ioa Valley
We did not take the road to Hana. But I've been on it. There just never seems to be enough time. :hi:

5. Tell me about it..
It always seems like you spend the first couple days adjusting to the time, and the BAM, you have to start feeling sad that vacation will be over shortly. The Road to Hana may be my favoritest part. I've taken both by helicopter/van tour and driving it myself with a guide CD. I love stopping at all of the little out-croppings, plus I love going to the town that makes the bestest rum in the entire world!

6. Those are really nice! I especially like the composition on the palm tree shot,
and that splash of color in the foreground of the sunset really makes the picture work.

Beautiful...

I don't know why, but I've always liked to take pics into the sun. Which I think is a no-no in photography! lol :hi:

34. It's only a no-no if the pictures turn out badly. Yours seem to come out well, so
ipso facto you're doing it right... :hi:

9. Oh, I love Kauai!
Molokai is my favorite... it just would have been too expensive to get there & stay there this time. :hi:

10. we haven't been there since our honeymoon and we haven't been to Oahu since
1989 i think so it should be fun. Both hotels stays are on points, same with the airfare so it won't be too expensive except for dinners.

12. Did you happen to go to Mama's Fishhouse, the Sea House,
Roy's, or Io's Restaurant? Those are my favorites. Mama's has the best tuna in the world.

13. I've eaten lunch at Mama's Fishouse before. And, yes, it was very good...yum!
We did go to dinner at our favorite restaurant there, one night, which is Kimo's. It was great. We had a table by the water. Here's a pic, though it didn't turn out well w/my iPhone:

22. Yeah... it's very expensive, I know
We didn't make the trip to Hana this time. It was many years ago when we did drive there... really would like to go back & do it again, at a more leisurely pace, one of these days.

felt great to me! Sheesh, I must be a MidWesterner.

I'd be out in shorts and a tshirt if it was 60!
