It's good to hear him again after so long. And uncanny how his voice has not changed one bit.

2. Yup. I got his latest album which was a bunch of redone stuff, it was a great new spin on his
classics. Very nice.

3. LOL, in junior high school English class
we had to write a poem

One of my classmates plagiarized one of Cat Stevens' songs!

She got an A.

4. "Morning has Broken."
That must be one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

5. He's been recording on and off again for the last decade or so.
I never really forgave him for taking Khomeini's side against Rushdie over "The Satanic Verses." He claims he was misinterpreted, but his original comments sure sound to me like he had a personal emotional stake in the matter, rather than the dispassionate description of Islamic law that he now claims. Not to mention the whole aspect that as a Shia Ayatollah, any fatwa issued by Khomeini wouldn't be automatically be considered a legal judgment across the Sunni world anyway.

But yeah, I like his old songs too.
