worst lyrics EVER
Edited on Wed Mar-03-04 11:46 PM by ButterflyBlood
kite flying societ - priest bait

I like these guys' music but:

IT WAS DARK IN MY HEART BECAUSE THERE WERE NO STARS OUT WHILE WE WERE DANCING AND WE FELL OUT OF MY HEART IN THE DARK BECAUSE IT BROKE UNDER THE STARS THERE IS A PICTURE OF IT AT NIGHT UNDER THE STARS WHILE WE ARE DANCING

5. Except I really like The Police
Any man who can work the name "Nabokov" into a song can't be all bad. I suspect when they broke up, and he started writing crappy love-ballad after crappy love-ballad, with a few "surreal" things thrown in, is the point his song writing really hit rock bottom.

3. Worst how? It really depends.
If it's "That makes no sense," I'd consult underground hardcore or screamo.

If it's just plain offensive, I'd paw through some Anal Cunt.

4. I was strapped for a response,
or more likely inundated with so many ideas to respond that I gave up. Then I punched the topic title into my google toolbar and got "More Than Words" by Extreme. Well, it isn't an original contribution but they do suck really bad:

Saying I love you
Is not the words I want to hear from you
It's not that I want you
Not to say, but if you only knew
How easy it would be to show me how you feel
More than words is all you have to do to make it real
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
Cos I'd already know
What would you do if my heart was torn in two
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real

6. I misquoted this in an earlier thread
I think these are by far the worst lyrics EVERRRRRRRRR:

From Travis - Good Day to Die
And your head is a brick wall
And your heart is a football
And your eyes broken windows

Oh, also there's some Old 97's lyric that's like: " Where everything is weightless, yeah. Even heavy things are weightless, yeah. Don't take up any space at all."

<musicsnob> Man, remember when the Old 97's used to be good? </musicsnob>

WHo sings "That ain't my truck in her drive?" I have nightmares over that one, and therapy does not help.
