ET, the best kids movie ever...

I just watched it again for the first time since the 70's and it was still a wonderful movie...

The way he told it almost exclusively from a kids perspective was pure genius...

It's really as fine a piece of storytelling as there has been in the last 40 years...

1. It was made in 1982.

2. Was the line where Elliot called someone "penis breath" removed?

3. Did the FBI agents carry evil guns or nice walkie-talkies?

4. The last time I saw it broadcast....

"penis breath" was removed- 6 of one, half dozen of the other on that one (although Mom's shocked reaction kind of requires an over-the-top insult to be appropriate).

No guns- walkie-talkies... That was just weird, because they were clearly holding them like guns- who holds a walkie-talkie at arm's length?
