3. How did you get the viruses?

One of my sales guys got a virus last week and I spent a half a day cleaning up his machine. We identified an email he received that caused the virus (he opened the attachment). I am now really paranoid and am updating my virus signature every day and doing netstat almost every hour.

I was just wondering if you can get the viruses if you don't open any attachments.

I did not know that. I have been thinking of just using mail2web.com for all my emails instead of using outlook. Do you think that would make a difference?

after I went to a Clark yahaoo message board. Might be where you picked it up, too. Someone had a bad virus that she passed to a lot of people there. (NOT clarktopia)

after a day without DU I walk around with a glazed look, slobber, lose feeling in my extremities, it's a major pain. I got an attachment from someone in my address book, this person has never ever sent me anything with an attachement.
So, before I said oh that's safe I listened to my inner voice sent them a mail asking what they had sent, and got the reply that they hadn't sent anything.
Now, anyone who sends an attachment has to verify it.
