If you're thinking of a DU name change, know that your DU Journal evaporates with your old name

Bummerooski, fellows. I have asked admins about this on Skinner's name change amnesty thread; maybe there's something elad can do about it. But at the moment, DU Journal is gone with the wind (or at least mine is).

Edit: As pointed out below, the journal doesn't evaporate. There just isn't a link to it from your profile anymore, mostly because it's still under your old name. But it is still there (whew!)

I still suspect elad can fix this relatively painlessly; don't think we had DU Journals in '04 when they had the last amnesty, so it wouldn't be in the code for the name changes.

9. On the bright side, elad says it's fixed.

On the dark side, mine still isn't working. However, elad's on it, he's very bright, and I'm optimistic it'll all be fixed by the end of the day. Worst case scenario, my new sig line becomes a link to my old journal; I could live with that, too.
