What trick should I teach my puppy?
My four-month-old pup is in puppy obedience class. For graduation in two weeks, I need to devise and teach him a trick. What should I do? I'm thinking of "dance"--when he jumps up, to put his paw in mine--or maybe to retrieve underwear. My four-year-old already knows that; he helps me do laundry by gathering up "Daddy's stinky butt underwear" for me.

1. Teach him to spell
Really. I did that with my favorite dog, long deceased. I taught him all the basic commands by spelling the words. S-I-T and he would sit. C-O-M-E and he would come to me. Never ceased to amaze my friends.

6. I would NEVER want my dog to be able to do that!!!
As it is right now, we have to spell out "W-A-L-K" and "O-U-T-S-I-D-E" if we don't want her to get all excited.

4. Fetch a beer! Fetch a beer! Fetch a beer!
That is the ultimate in dog tricks. I've only seen ONE in person that could do it.

5. Don't teach him "paw". It's stupid. "Sit" and "down" are good....
and you can also use hand signals.

7. Teach him to play 'Chopsticks' on the piano.
What's that you say? You don't have a piano? Then I guess you better teach him how to steal a piano first.
