Is it wrong to occasionally caress your instrument?
Sometimes when I'm walking across the room, and passing my double bass in the corner, I'll just reach out and run my hand over it.

I'm not alone in this. Other musicians, who play other axes, have confessed this same behavior to me.

2. Re:Caressing of "instrument"
LOL.I was thinking this was a trick question, something of a sexual nature.

Boy,I have a sick mind.

To answer your question though,I really don't know,as I have never really owned an instrument.

Although in elementry school,I played a mean triangle!

24. I caress my instruments on occassion
I own a ridiculous number of guitars (8 or 9, I lost count), and sometimes I'll pull them out and just touch them once in awhile.

Then I go masturbate, and things feel a bit better.

26. How could you NOT do that, if you're a true musician? One of the reasons that the
Autoharp was my favorite instrument back when I was able to play was the fact that when you play it, you hug it close to your chest.

32. Upright basses have that hourglass figure don't you know.
Pert flare at the top, thin waist, and junk in the trunk down below.

But, get your mind out of the gutter. The opening on the top is called an F hole because it's shaped like the letter F.
