Bush campaign plans 'Blackhawk' landing at Ground Zero

President seeks to cement image of a 'war president'

From Dana Bash
CNN Washington Bureau
Wednesday, March 3, 2004 Posted: 8:12 PM EST (0112
GMT)

A senior official within the White House's reelection
team has revealed to CNN that the campaign plans a
dramatic landing for President Bush at Ground Zero in
a Blackhawk helicopter recently returned from duty in
Iraq.

The landing would mark the beginning of the Republican
National Convention which is slated to run in New York
City from August 30 to September 2. Seeking to repeat
his "Mission Accomplished" landing on the USS Abraham
Lincoln, which polarized Democrats and Republicans,
the senior official, who spoke on condition of
anonimity, said the move was designed to reinforce
Bush's image as a "war president" and remind voters of
his leadership in the aftermath of 9/11.

"President Bush likes war, he likes helicopters and he
likes reminding people of 9/11," the source said.
"What better way to capitalize on Americans' deepest
fears and worst memories than attempting this
ingenious PR coup."

When asked to respond to the Republican plan late
Tuesday, Stephanie Cutter, spokesman for potential
Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, said:
"You're fucking kidding right?"

The Bush campaign source also said the helicopter
would also carry other Republican dignataries
including Henry Kissinger, Oliver North and the body
of Richard Nixon, who was been kryogenically frozen
and will be wheeled out during the convention while
conservative popstar Chaka Khan sings a cover version
of Britney Spears' "Oops I did it again."

According to campaign sources once over New York
Harbor, the Blackhawk would begin firing with its
high-powered 105mm Howitzer at a giant poster
plastered on a Manhattan skyscraper. The poster will
feature a picture of Kerry and Osama bin Laden shaking
hands. The Bush source said the meeting occured during
Kerry's days as an antiwar activist during the Vietnam
war.

"You can do wonderful things with Photoshop these
days," the source said. "Ummm.... I mean... this
genuine photo shows that John Kerry is Satan or at
least his cousin or maybe second cousin."
White House spokesman Scott McLennan declined to
comment on the issue telling reporters only that he
had heard "Kerry was a chronic bed-wetter."

the cash for president richboy to pad his campaign war chest just a little more.. because $200,000,000.00 isn't enough money to buy the type of propaganda needed to get a republican elected president.

like a window wiht no glass. I really, really hope he DOES try some insipid stunt like this. The only ones that will be impressed by this are the fawning mouth breathers that already support the Chimp in the first place.

22. Bush in a Blackhawk?
Not likely for that chickenshit. Blackhawks can't seem to land without crashing - even without * trying to fly it. They're more dangerous than pretzels.

That is a pretty funny story, though, because parts of it are really believable.
