1. That's pretty high on the cool scale.
The good choice in music makes up for the fact that it's coming from a mac. :P

6. You got used Alienware for $60? What was it, on fire?
Loaded with anthrax?

8. The cd-rom was shot (so what?), the video card had been downgraded
and I assume some memory was taken out. I slapped in a cd-rom drive I had laying around, reloaded a clean copy of XP, bought a wireless keyboard with a built in track ball and a wireless usb adapter, hooked it up to the TV and boom instant media center without all the DRM and monthly fee bullshit.

BTW your jealousy sustains me. :P

9. The flaming computer thing seems to be your problem alone.
The girls did apologize for the conflagration, but they assure you that they're worth the occasional bout of spontaneously combusting hardware.

5. I'm watching John Stewart, who is ON FIRE tonight.
Halfway in, he's ripped Bush, the entire cast on Fox, OReilly and Limbaugh.

The puppet thing was a little weak, but nobody bats 1.000

Your setup does sound pretty cool though. I know you're an audiophile too, so I'll bet it sounds killer.

7. doesnt sound great right now
have not got the PS3 hooked into the stereo yet, I need an optical cable for that.

It could be done easier and automatically with the Mac Mini I have connected to the TV, this was a proof of concept exercise, for future knowledge, and because I wanted to see if I could.

I will watch The Daily Show later.

13. Do you want it the free and hard way
or the easy way that costs 20 bucks and may be a bit buggy?
