I am unemployed so I have been a frequent visitor to craigslist. just for kicks I thought I would register and participate in their political forum. Both liberals and conservatives on that board are just plain ignorant. Profanity, baldfaced lies and name calling are all there is. After a couple of hours I called them all a bunch of silly ignorant assholes and left. I feel like I lost 20 IQ points. I came back here to gain them back.

Thinking of changing it now that McCain is out of it but I have not come up with a good idea yet.

sounds like a perfect nightmare.

We fight enough among ourselves as it is, I can't imagine throwing several thousand freeptards into the mix. I know I wouldn't be able to handle that for long either.

Considering how lively this place is (DU), the level of civility is remarkably high. It's easy to spend an inordinate amount of time here, and I think DU is pretty unique in that way.
