car people
My car has one of those transponder ignition keys. I lost one of my keys and need a new one (I have a honda). Do I really need to pay the dealer a fortune for the key or are their legit places to buy them cheaper?

1. Call around to locksmiths and see if any near you have the equipment
We had to do that when my Dad lost the keys to his Lincoln. The dealer wanted a small fortune and he'd still have had to wait several days for some reason, an independent locksmith was faster and cheaper.

2. Thanks will do
conveniently a locksmith left a whole bunch of fliers at the library to hand out if customers get locked out. I'll give the guy a ring.

3. I'm down to one that functions - only the dealers make them and they are like $100. What a rip off.
