the drive shaft fell out of my car yesterday

i was just outside the airport (as in i was about two minutes from seeing my boyfriend), going about 45 or 50 when it happened and it scared the shit out of me. i was able to get pulled over, but the traffic rushing right past me was even scarier than hearing that noise and trying to get over. it was the tow truck driver who found the part in the road. i don't know if it was the front or rear drive shaft, but we just had the rear universal joint fixed and the front one checked, so i have no idea what happened.

i'm ok, my boyfriend is home and the car's in the shop and i never, ever want to deal with anything like that again.

3. they didn't get the u-joint in right

make them fix it and make them test the driveshaft - it might be out of balance now. I have had this happen to me a few times. The worst was about sunset on a very steep winding mountain road in Mexico with about 8 passengers from Germany in a van! What a night that was.
