Pirates of the Carribean or Seabisquit. Which one of these is a DU Movie
These are the two top movies of the year which one of these represents DU the most

Is it Pirates because pirates were the first form of Democracy in the new world and they hassled the English empire to no end.

or is it Seabisquit because he is the underestimated fighter with the movie having references to FDR.

your imput is needed.

1. We loved BOTH of them

Sea Biscuit was a story of hope and survival in a similar time in history. It has a much deeper message than Pirates - we laughed thru Pirates and it made us feel great, but there was no deep message there - just good fun.

2. Fun is Liberal
yeah there aren't any deep messages in Pirates but it is a ton of fun.

Conservitives can't have fun they're to busy handling snakes and repressing their sexual desires. So they make everyone else miserable.

7. Pirates does too have a deep message
It's summed up in something Captain Jack Sparrow says in the climactic scene. I forget his exact words, but they're essentially equivalent to Dylan's line, "To live outside the law you must be honest."

I haven't seen Seabiscuit, but it sounds like a good liberal movie. Pirates is wilder and stranger and far more radical. Don't underestimate it or its potential influence.
