Tomorrow you have decided to go homeless. What do you pack in your sack and what shoes do you wear?

Sorry for the lame premise, but I have often thought about what I'd pack in my backpack, if I should ever decide to just Walk The Earth.



I'd start my walk from here in Southeast Georgia, but would end up in the hills.


What shoes would you wear/take and what else would be in your pack?

1. The keys to my car.

5. The last time I did it I was wearing a pair of steel-toed work boots

They were all I had.

I packed a couple of changes of clothing, two books, a bag of weed and my stuffed sheep who goes everywhere with me. I hitched from Vermont to Toronto then across Canada and back into the states in Michigan. Across the northern US to the Pacific coast in Oregon then down the coast to Santa Cruz, CA where I sat on the beach for a free concert. Then home across I-80 mostly.

That was in '98.

6. The one time I was homeless it was 2 changes of clothes

that were durable, generic, and wouldn't look immediately horrible if they were wrinkled and unwashed. :(
