Is it something out of The Anarchist's Cookbook? Does it first require peeling and/or juicing? Do you always do what odd pop songs tell you to do? Or suspecting foul play in pop song lyrics, did you convince a neighborhood child to try it first?

5. Well.....
I put the lime in the coconut once but I feel ashamed of what happened next. Doctor! Doctor! It was self-medication for a bellyache.

I'll call you in 'da morning.

14. Two factual things I know about coconut...
Three factual things I know about coconuts

One, you can drink coconut water from green coconuts as it's a natural electrolyte replacement
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coconut_water

Coconut oil is better for you than olive oil as it's a medium-chain fatty acid that the body does not store, but uses immediately for the energy.
http://www.naturodoc.com/library/nutrition/coconut_oil.htm

Years and years ago I worked in construction with a guy from Jamaica. He told the story of how they would lop the end off of a coconut, keeping the coconut milk inside, then pout a cup of sugar into it and put the lopped off end back on. On goes the duct tape until no seam can be seen, and toss it out onto the hot sand and sun for the next three weeks. If it doesn't explode (and they would! :o) then you have a fermented coconut moonshine strong enough to knock you on yer ass! :P

How all this relates to the lime in the coconut, I don't know, but as you can get coconut water now, try it and find out. Or wait until the summer and try the fermented variety

16. It led to a gigantic fruit war.
The bananas, the apples, the oranges, hell...even the pomegranates, all took sides (kiwi fruit declared itself neutral). The carnage was horrific. Oranges peeled, apples cored, peaches pitted. One watermelon alone conquered the grapes!

Eventually, the sides all agreed to peace with the signing of the Treaty of the Bowl of Fruit:Still Life, but I wouldn't put the lime in the coconut again if I were you.

24. Ah, but frozen grapes have been known to
travel over a quarter-mile after being launched by a medical-tubing-with-funnel slingshot and smash out a car's windshield in a stadium parking lot, too :P

(supposed Rice University story of a three-man slingshot with frozen grapes as "shot" ;))
