6. Do those have different meanings?
To tell you what kind of stitch or place you left off? The "pearls" are what are making me think that. Isn't that knitting knit/pearl?

8. No, but that's a good idea!
I do use different colored ones on lace patterns, depending on where in the pattern I am.

And it's "knit" and "purl". :)

10. Yay!!
She's a keeper. :)

I got a kit to teach myself how to knit. My grandmother tried several times (rest her soul) and I just couldn't do it.

Wish me luck.

13. If you need *any* help, please get in touch with me
Either here, or on Facebook. I taught myself from books/internet over 10 years ago, and I knit things that you can actually wear in public! :o

Also, resources for you:

Go to Knitty.com, click on the Coffeeshop and register. Best Knitting forum EVER. I've been a member for years.

Go to Ravelry.com, request an invite. It will come in a couple days. Another kickass knitting site.

Knittinghelp.com...Godsend to confused knitters. Excellent videos of every possible stitch and technique.

But yeah, just holler if you need any help. :pals:

21. Knitting can be frustrating, especially at first, but
remember: Your first projects will probably look like crap. It's inevitable. Unless you're blessed by the Knitting goddesses, but that's rare. You just learn from your mistakes, and if you use the resources I talked about, you'll make far less of them.

I have a really good book called "Knitting in Plain English". It's a classic. Very laid back and instructional at the same time. If you'd like to borrow it/keep it, shoot me a PM with your address, and I'll mail it to you. I don't need it, so you can keep it as long as you want. :)

Just let me know.

I'm so glad you like them. Mine have come in so handy. I can't believe how easy they are to use. Let me know if you need smaller hooks for socks. :)

:woohoo:

23. Did I tell you about the cool book I just got?
Knit and Crochet Jewelry with Wire, Fiber, Felt and Beads. The patterns for the most part aren't my style, I just wanted it for the technique. Knitting with wire = awesome.

And yes, I'll let you know about that. :D

24. I've seen lots of cool crocheted wire jewelry.
I think I need to get a smaller crochet hook for that, though.

Felting freaks me out. It seems like it would be squeaky in an unpleasant kind of way. I'm probably off, but you know how your mind makes up things sometimes.

I can't wait to see some knitted wire! :headbang:

I've designed, knitted and felted several handbags. They're precious. And awesome. :D

No squeak, at all. :)
