Ancient Mars: Renderings Show Raging Floods, Vast Oceans
While many scientists think Mars may once have harbored vast oceans or lakes, there is no proof beyond some presumed ancient shorelines, sediment deposits, and other highly sketchy data or pictures.

---snip

While evidence is rolling in from two spacecraft currently orbiting Mars, an artist has taken some liberties with some of that data to create a series of renderings showing what Mars might once have looked like.

1. ....there is no proof beyond....
Sorry but geological processes are going to act the same way on Mars as they are on Earth (generally) so if it looks like a river channel and acts like a rover channel, then it must be.... you guessed it: a river channel.

3. Yes, I Got a Pop-Up
But it was worth it.

Scientific American has a great site, but for some reason it has tons of pop-ups. Doesn't stop me from going there.

4. My question is
how are the right wing creationists going to deal with the fact that there may have been life on Mars??? They can't deal with the real age of the earth!

5. Yeah!
Like maybe the great flood really took place on Mars and earth is the destination of the ark.

6. Some of these renderings....
were done with TerraGen.
Truly amazing depictions of what Mars could have been in the past.
