At what point should someone decide that maybe marriage just isn't for them?

A person who marries for the first time without a good sense of themselves or what they should be looking for in a partner might make a mistake which could lead to divorce for good reasons. This person should be rather careful about marrying again to make sure they will do it right. If this marriage ends in divorce, perhaps they aren't cut out for marriage.
No offense to Duers who have been married more tahn twice and there are exceptions espcially if one of the spouses died.

Listen man.. I don't honestly think anything can be done except on an individual/commune level.

As a society/world it will all be sliding down the toilet.

If you are that concerned.. I say get married to someone that shares your views and more importantly that you can live with, start planning for the impending doom (Now I sing the doom song!) and stockpile what you will need.

Chiefly - if you are opposed to firearms: change that view soon. I am not advocating becoming one of the roving looters after the big fall; rather defending against those looters. After the end comes.. well let's just look at it as capital punishment, except there is not enough supply to keep them in a prison, plus as messed up as things will be... you will actually be doing them a favor.

Start stockpiling anything you can think of; food, water, medical supplies. Gold and silver might be useful too. More likely though I think things would slide toward a barter system.

you need to start brewing your own bio-diesel. Heaps cleaner, exhaust fumes smell like burgers, easy to make, good interim step to something really clean.

Then, when the oil runs out, you can replace all the oil tycoons and have your way with the world.

....it's just a fuckin' hassle...spend money doin' it...then pay thru the nose to get out of it...I've been in the same relationship for 13 years already and it's clear that the actual act of actually gettin' married is HIGHLY OVERRATED! :eyes:
