Soooo, I've been tasked by a friend with writing two songs for a short film he's doing, and I've had this melody for a long time. It's a love movie, so it seems this theme might work, but only if it hasn't been taken before. Sorry about the moderate hiss, it was recorded on a pocket recorder meant for business dictation:

If you have a computer that can play audio/broadband, this will literally take less than 30 seconds to listen to. I'm hoping the wisdom of peers can guide me on this, perhaps it's just a good melody and it just seems like it's already been done in some major production, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I wouldn't want to unintentionally copy someone else. It sounds a tad like Claire De Lune, but it's definitely different.

The first few notes seem familiar... but I don't recognize it. And really it'd have to be note-for-note to be an infringement.

4. Hey, tanks!
Well, hopefully, you will be able to tell people the person who the song from that movie is a DUer. (Although it's only a short film, I may put the music out independently.)

6. I don't recognize it but you have 2 new fans here.
I like it and my cat, Yogi, almost pushed the speaker off the computer desk, rubbing his chin on it. He LOVES it! :D

8. It reminds me of
some stuff Holly Hunter's character played in The Piano. The snippet about things that can not be. Yes, that suits the mood if that is what you are going for.
