1. My dog wags his tail in his sleep

Scares the hell out of me! Peace and quiet and then all of a sudden THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP!!!

You'd think it would wake him up, but no...

10. When I was a kid
It used to freak me out when our dog dreamed. Twitching paws and faux snarls accompanied by small grunts, growls, and wheezes. And when her eyelids were half-open, you could see that whole rapid eye thing going on. Creepy!

24. The beagle bays in her sleep. No, seriously. And the weird thing is
she never bays when she's awake. The second weird thing is that she bays in her sleep so often that the cats barely take notice any more.

It is hard to sleep through, though.

2. I punched my husband once while we were sleeping!
Oops!

Not sure why. He told me about it the next day and I had a very vague recollection of it. (I punched him in the arm, not the face. Now had his face been where his arm was.... Well, who knows? :o)

8. He and his two-year-old brother are very aggressive sleepers
On the few occasions when they've slept in our bed with us, the kick the shit out of both of us all night long.

Very restful!

26. Apparently, I kick pretty viciously in my sleep.
 When I was younger, one of my cousins came to stay with us for a while, and since we didn't really have a lot of extra space, she was going to share my bed. We went to bed the first night and everything was fine (or so I thought!), but the next morning I woke up and didn't see her. Turns out I had literally kicked her out of the bed in my sleep! She wasn't hurt or anything, but she did decide to get a sleeping bag and crash on the floor for the rest of her stay. :P

29. My husband jumped out of bed one night to escape an alligator
It was the darnest thing. I was awake watching a movie (no alligators) when I noticed he was flailing around. The next thing I knew he did something straight out of "The Exorcist" and flung himself out of bed. I checked to make sure he wasn't hurt before I asked him, "WTF?" He said he dreamed that he was out sailing and an alligator jumped into the boat. He battled with it but decided to jump ship.

We both laugh about that night. It was pretty funny.

6. Why do we let these strange little creatures run free in our homes?
Surely parenthood is synonymous with madness.

15. I just re-washed sheets today that I put on the bed yesterday because
Bella spit up all over them. She is back in my bed temporarily while she is sick. She does like sleeping on her own though. Or so it seems. (I do have like 4 sets of sheets, but these are just so nice. Really no point in having any other sheets because these stay on the bed pretty much.)

I gave up nice furniture 3 dogs ago! :P

You do know that I wrapped up the wizard story back in May, right? 45 installments in-thread over in the Writing group.

16. I had a roommate in college who walked and talked in his sleep
I used to fuck with him. Call it re-writing the firmware. (People in that state are very susceptible to suggestion.)

27. That's pretty cool.
:) On a college crew trip I roomed with three other girls, all of whom were bilingual (one in Spanish, one in Arabic, and one in German). We got to talking about it, and they said that they often dreamed in their non-English languages, even though they were raised in America and spoke English on a daily basis. I just thought that was pretty interesting. :hi:
