I didn't think that would ever happen... but when I stepped out of the U.S. I stepped away from the clicker.

Any other lapsed/recovering sports fans out there?

1. HGTV??
That's one of the Pat Robertson channels that really annoys the living SHIT out of me.

Unfortunately I can't cancel that channel along with all home shopping network channels.

:grr:

How many times can they make over/sell/flip a fucking house? WHO FUCKING CARES! The fucking assholes helped get us into the crisis we are in now. FUCK THEM!

2. I haven't watched a Super Bowl since
...whenever it was the 'Niners played somebody at Stanford — 1984? Cincinnati?

I've probably watched maybe an hour total of pro football since then. Same with basketball. I was once a big fan of both, especially basketball, but both lost their luster for me in the mid-'80s.

Oh — pitchers and catchers report in two weeks! :bounce:

3. if I were going to be home alone I would not be watching the game
I am not a lapsed football fan, I am a never was football fan.

but my Sunday School class is having a Super Bowl party and since they are all good friends of many years and a fun group it is worth my while to go. I know I will not be the only one who is in another room yakking it up and not watching TV until halftime.

4. I don't know if I'd go that far...
...but my relationship with the NFL changed permanently when the NFL allowed the Browns to leave Cleveland in 1995. I got too used to doing other things on Sunday afternoons to care all that much when the Browns came back.

5. I'll be watching the Puppy Bowl.
It's becoming an annual tradition.
