On TV tomorrow. Firstly, we have no TV and secondly, no desire to watch it. We are gonna be having an anti-Super Bowl party. We will make wings and have snacks and read 'Anna Karenina' aloud to amuse ourselves and increase our brainpower. I might possibly think about watching it, if it weren't 5% about sports and 95% about advertising and sales.

:D

6. I guess there is no such thing as backal nudity.
What I meant was dorsal nudity.

2. I tried that once when I was a rebellious youth.
Missed the classic 1991 SB between the Giants - Bills.

First decent Super Bowl in years.

I went to a Woody Allen movie instead.

Never again.

7. Who really cares about the big Extreme Full Contact Bowling match between Minot and Billings?
Edited on Sat Jan-31-09 06:32 PM by Tommy_Carcetti
Is there any other sporting event tommorow evening than that stupid Upper Midwest Extreme Full Contact Bowling League match between the Minot Striker Pinz and the Billings Bowl Dogs? That's all we hear about.

Can anyone here direct me to some other sporting event I could watch? Perhaps something with a ball being passed down a field, with defenders trying to stop the progress of the ball before the team with the ball has a chance to get the ball into a specified zone at the end of the field? Is there any sport similar to this concept? Anybody?

10. Before I saw this thread, in all honesty
I asked Mr. MG when the Super Bowl was. He looked at me as if I had completely taken leave of my senses. And he doesn't much like football. Shows how much I'm looking forward to it (or, you know...not).

14. You are quite the Bohemian.
I probably won't read 'Anna Karenina' that's just the book I throw out there to make everybody think that I'm an intellectual. Probably rent a movie. :hi:

13. No TV here, either. Won't miss it, though.
I want to keep an eye on teh internet to see how much goes wrong in the world while God's back in the pocket with Kurt Warner...and will the refs flag God if He cut-blocks?

17. I won't be... but then again, i'll be at work
I volunteered to switch with a rabid Steeler-holic, so that she could watch the game.

I'll probably have the radio on, just so i won't seem like a total loser. But i have a paper to finish, Spanish to review, and maps to study for a history test Monday, so the radio will get none of the attention that it does when there's a Mountaineers football game on.

18. I have no TV, and I'm gonna be out of the house most of the day anyway.
I have yet to watch a sports game in my 27 years on this planet, I don't see why this one should be the one to change that.

(5% is generous, and I say that as somebody who actually will be watching the game.)
