T3s are wimpy when it comes to that kind of pain.

2. Yeah, I'd love some vicodins or percocet

but the problem is that I'm a recovering addict (well, if you call a pothead an addict), and my mother was worried about me being addicted over these painkillers.

I guess it's the consequences of being an addict. I have a checkup on Tuesday and will ask Robby if I can have something stronger for a couple of days - but chances are pretty slim though since it's past the "pain threshold" level.

i empathize my friend. i've been in serious dental pain myself since thursday night. I'm gonna have to get an extraction done next week, as soon as a dentist can see me.

Can you reach your doctor/dentist and get an upgrade on the meds?

5. Check with your dentist first, but ask about switching over to ibuprofen or another NSAID

to knock the inflammation down. Check first though, in case bleeding is a concern.


Oddly enough, you may be feeling the stitches more because you actually have less pain from the extractions blocking that nerve signal. AS the swelling goes down and the wounds heel, the little things become very irritating.

6. ask the pharmacist/doctor

if you can take Advil(ibuprofen) with tylenol#3.

When my husband had his foot surgery, the Hydrocodone wasn't enough after the surgery meds wore off.
The pharmacist said that in my husband's case, it would be ok to take ibuprofen as well.
He was taking the kind of Hydrocodone that has acetaminophen(Tylenol).

The hydrocodone did nothing for the swelling. The advil did what the hydrocodone couldn't do and vice versa.

I'm not giving medical advice, of course. I'm just telling you what we did. I would ask your experts if this might work for you.
