1. I couldn't go to the inaguration because.... well, we blew all the disposable income at Xmas.
2. A good friend went to DC with tickets from none other than Madame Speaker herself; however. 4 words - Purple Tunnel of Doom. He subsequently called congress "right effing now."
3. My parents, who begged me not to go, thoughtfully bought inaguration shirts and other swag on deep, day-after discounts.
4. Apparantly I'll be doing 15% more work next year for essentially the same money -- yes, I know it could be worse. It still blows.
5. Going back to point 1. For about a week, I had some disposable income. Then...my Ford Taurus ate it.
6. It hit like 50 degrees today in Omaha, so we finally removed the Xmas lights. Then, the ants woke up, decided they were hungry, and invaded the house.
7. We put an Obama poster into a 5.99 poster frame from Target, and set it in our 5 year old's room. The brainwashing can never begin too early.
