1. Cool!
After I read some of the Darkover novels (sci-fi where the cool aliens have six fingers on each hand and can play musical instruments really well), I thought that would be a really great thing to have. I'm glad they don't seem inclined to mutilate the kid since they look perfectly normal.

2. The gene for twelve digits is dominant over the gene for ten.
It's just a lot rarer.

6. I hope they leave the kid's digits alone.
Since they're fully functional, I can't see any reason to remove them.

Besides, I used to have a cat with six toes on each foot. He was a real sweetie, too.

16. I hope so too.
If his family can protect him from the cruelty and bigotry of fools, he might really love having the use of that extra digit on each hand and foot. :)

22. Hemingway had six-toed cats.
There are still descendants of the original ones at his home in Key West - not all of them have the six toe feature, though.

7. I hope they teach that kid how to play guitar
He could be a shredder of Randy Rhoads-like proportions.

11. This will require a revision of "this little piggie".
This little piggie went to market.
This little piggie stayed home.
This little piggie had roast beef.
This little piggie had none.
This little piggie went, "wee, wee, wee, wee" all the way home.
This little piggie went back out again?

13. Very cool, but I feel sorry for the parents
I mean, even now my little angel will barely tolerate it when we clip his paltry sum of 10 fingernails/toenails. Mom and Dad will have to hold him still for an additional four! Yikes!

23. I say get that kid some piano lessons.
Hope he's musically inclined, though I wouldn't want him to be exploited like a freak show. Seems like that sort of thing would happen regardless.
