Stupid food question

If a can of ready to eat soup (Campbell's Chunky) has sat in a hot car for two weeks, should it be alright to eat? I am not sure if the shelf life is only guarenteed at room temperature.

That is the same exact advice I gave Melissa (my daughter) recently regarding some leftovers
when in doubt, throw it out
