1. Amazing images

and so many old trees damaged. I was without power for 11 days after an ice storm in February, 1994 in Oxford Mississippi. The water pumping station went down and we had no water for 3 of the 11 days. I was going through old photos on Saturday and came across the ones from the storm.

3. I was very fortunate to have still had water...and better than that...

gas HOT water. Many I know are having to use showers and restrooms at public facilities.
I'm also told by some of the patients in our clinic who live in rural areas, that they may not be fully restored for another few weeks.

I recall some pretty horrible ice storms when I lived in Fayetteville in the 70's and 80's. And in a perverse way the ice makes my beautiful home town look even more beautiful and sadly so, much more dangerous. I recall not being able to go to a cemetary out towards Goshen after a funeral in Fayetteville 20 years ago today due to the inclement weather. I hope you are safe. We talked to a friend near Springdale yesterday and they were without power for several days. That just ain't no fun.

4. I havent heard any news from Siloam or Goshen yet.

East of us, in Huntsville and the more rural areas are in bad shape. A lot of them still use electric wells for water. Fortunately the roads are clear now, and they can get out.

5. That was cool...I have never been in an ice storm. Too bad they're so

destructive b/c they sure make for some beautiful scenes.

having a hard time.
