Women with male spouses/partners: Would you let him pick out clothes for you?
Sniffa picked out 3, count them, 3 really cute tops for me last week. Not only that, they were in the clearance section! :o

Would you let your better half do that? If so, what result would you get?

:D

I don't have a partner at present, but as I recall if I had allowed my ex to pick out my clothes I would have been arrested for indecent exposure.

8. I may be a cheap bastard but I still have taste
The mens' section had awesome clearance. The womens' section was mostly atrocious. I mean, even my mom wouldn't wear some of those outfits (I hope) and you've seen how she dresses. I worked long and hard to pull the acceptable ones (and a couple I knew you'd like).

I was pissed though - I was going through that entire section, picking out all of the ones I liked and the maybes and keeping them together for when you got back from the changing room.... and some woman came and grabbed the cutest top I found. x(

Always start at the clearance section.

10. I'm a funny size.
I don't think he'd grab anything I wouldn't wear (we have similar taste in pretty much everything) but who knows if it would fit. Then again, that's why I don't buy him any clothes but t shirts.

You are lucky. Mine's a sweet guy, but no eye for color or style. I'd probably end up looking like a mash-up of Tank Girl and Melanie Griffith.

14. Not just no, but HELL no...
I love my husband dearly, but I haven't allowed him to dress our children since our oldest daughter was in first grade. Stripe pants and flowered shirt. Yep, he did. I lectured him about the girls wearing matching clothes.

He has no sense of style or even what matching clothes mean. Garanimals didn't help either.

So, no. He's not allowed.

21. I would not let my SO let me
I know that she would feel obligated to wear whatever I got out of respect for my feelings, meaning that odds are she would wind up wearing crap she doesn't like.

She has way more taste in clothing than I do. If I want to buy her clothing, she really appreciates a gift card to one of her favorite stores. I think she enjoys clothes more when she picks them out herself. (And she looks a lot better!)

23. My guy loves to take me shopping
he picks things out, I try them on, and damned if he doesn't have great taste. The really odd part is that this is a big burly, bald, football coaching, jock type, 50something man...........NOT the type you expect to see looking through the racks at a womens store.

And don't even get me started on the lingerie........

He also cleans and does laundry and yardwork, cleans the pool........... yeah I am SO KEEPING HIM!

I seriously lucked out.

Oh yeah....he lives 5 minutes from Salem too.

He is perfect :)

:hi:
What a sweetie...true love, great taste.
:loveya:

And a smart shopper...clearance is the first place to go! Love has no price tag.
I totally trusted my ex, and the ex before that:blush: I always got the coolest stuff.
And what's strange, I happened to notice that I'm wearing a shirt that he (last ex x( ) picked out when we were shopping at the Salvation Army...
I love shopping with cool old guys who don't know anything about fashion...
They know exactly what I like....

peace~

My husband's terrible taste in clothing is one reason I stopped the Xmas gift giving many, many years ago. It was to spare his feelings. I had a hard time bringing myself to wear what he would buy.

41. He already does
My husband has exquisite (and expensive) taste and knows my style so he does shop for clothes for me with fair frequency. And I almost always bring him along when I have to shop for myself so he can beat me around the head when I pick up something lame.

47. Oh yes.
Dear husband is great at picking stuff out for me. I hate, hate, hate shopping so I'm glad he has good taste. I have to watch him in the men's section, though. He shoots like a laser beam at shirts that are see-through with heavy embroidery. My dad always gives him a hefty gift card at Christmas and that means I have to go shopping. Bleh. It's funny that he can do so well for me but so poorly for himself.

He even picked out Victoria's Secret lingerie for me that was incredible. He found the one set in the store that was made for comfort. Leaving his own pevvy nature aside, he actually picked something he knew I'd love.

Definitely a keeper. :)
