I can't believe that Anthony Bourdain is featuring Ted Asshole Nugent on his show.

I don't like Nugent, but I don't dislike Bourdain just because Nugent was on Bourdain's show. :shrug:

2. You know what? I actually watched that and kept an open mind.

I still think Nugent is an asshole, but I don't dislike Bourdain now. One shouldn't avoid people just because we disagree. Everyone has something to teach us, even if it's what NOT do to.

And at least Nugent was doing something good on that show (cookouts for soldiers). I despise Nugent, but found that part of the episode to be more bearable than I expected it to be.

Besides, I'm not sure Bourdain could ever do anything to make me dislike him. He's irresistibly irascible.

4. You know what else? I agreed with Nugent re: the BBQ.

I think it proves there is common ground with just about anyone.

I would eat BBQ with Ted. We'd have to avoid certain subjects, but I like Ted's work on sustaining animal populations (granted it's so he can shoot them). I could watch baseball with George W. Bush.

8. I thought he made the point well about how much the disagree

but hell he is a guest at the guy's house. He listens to what the guy has to say. AND for what people here may not like about Nugent he is representative of most of the hunter types I know-they are as concerned with the environment as anyone (you don't kill off ALL the food source at once)

9. nugent was on stage screaming for Nancy Pelosi and Obama to suck on the

end of a rifle. He smeared human crap on himself to get out of the vietnam draft. He adopted an underage girl so he could have sex with her. Those are what i can think of without going to the goggle.

Sometimes people just go to far, and you have to take a stand. Obviously, Bourdain is OK with all that stuff. I am not. I don't think I will be watching his show again. That's just how I feel about it.

If, say for example, Bruce Springsteen had made comments like that about Sarah Palin and Condi Rice, he'd have gotten a visit from the Secret Service, and Lipballs would have screamed about the liberal culture in the music industry for 3 months.

Nugent should be exiled from the media -- just like the Dixie Chicks were made Persona Non Grata
