You do realize that a huge number of Americans have not only used marijuana, but want it to be decriminalized?

You do realize that Phelps had a DUI conviction well before you ever heard his name or knew who he was?

11. I repeat, whether people WANT it to be, or it OUGHT to be decriminalized is irrelevant.

It is presently illegal. Phelps can try to sell that argument, however, to the Wheaties people when they cancel his endorsement contract. And oh yeah, it was probably tobacco. Or nutmeg. Right.

I didn't even know who Phelps WAS before the Olympics, and didn't know (or care) that he had a DUI until this mess blew up. And frankly, I don't give a damn now.

I think the whole thing is stupid. But as long as pot is illegal then it is appropriate for law enforcement to investigate.
