1. Ours too--about three weeks ago.
We replaced it with a Lexmark 3-in-1, but it's just not the same.

RIP, little HP.

a period of mourning is in order.

Problem is I need to print out my 2008 taxes and my Anatomy paper.

4. aw... I know how you feel. Mine was a scanner issue. I found lots of
DIY info online - have you tried anything like that? I can dig up the link if you want... I found a tip that cleaning the glass (often) seemed to help - I think maybe it was a heat issue, too. Dunno. But I can't live without a scanner, so it's been devastating...

6. This seems to be a roller problem...
I'm not confident I could fix it since it would probably require taking it apart. Those things never end well for me.

3. Wow. I can't believe it... I mourned mine too - it was a great machine.
I had a PSC750 and I worked it so hard it ran out of steam.

I was given a newer model sometime last year, and it's pretty fair (I think it was $70 at costco, if I recall correctly) Its an HP F-something... all in one, as well. Ink is cheap and doesn't last quite as long, but it's pretty efficient. F420 or something? I can go check if anyone's interested.

My housemate has brought home various printers and they're either such ink hogs or so full of software I can't stand I don't find them useful... but the 2nd HP is pretty decent. Not as good as the 750, though... (sniff, sniff)....
