Zomg, I'm gonna go crazy....
Home today with the kiddo, who's a bit too sick to go to school, but a bit to healthy to just sleep, or crash in front of a movie...

Am also sick, myself.

Am trying to work from home, since I have a couple deadlines tomorrow afternoon.

"Mom, can you get my horses?"
"Mom, can I have a hot dog?"
"Mom, can you get me some more books?"
"Mom, can you get me some more books?"
"Mom, can you get me some more books?"
"Mom, can you get me some more books?"

:banghead:

"Kid, can you please stop whistling for just a couple minutes?"

1. Ohhh dear
   for you.

I just escaped that situation. MG Jr. was home Wednesday and Thursday last week with a fever, then had Friday off for some conference or something. I was trying to meet some deadlines at the same time, too--yeahhhhh that'll work. :eyes:

When Monday rolled around, even though he still had a goopy nose, he was eating fine and running around, so I said, "Yer goin' ta school!!" ...Does that make me a bad mommy?

Hang in there, LynzM. :hi:

3. Heh.
I so hear ya on that... thanks for the hugs! I'm beginning to think I should have sent her to school... she's up and around, and bored. Time to look for some workbooks/reading development online!

:hi:

6. That is SO responsible of you!
I kept Jr. quiet with Return of the Jedi, Barnyard the Movie, and a couple of online episodes of Top Gear. And video games.

Heck, we tried a puzzle, but he got bored.

9. Well, sorta...
We had a morning of 3 Stooges (ugh!) and books in bed, and now I'm letting her play Starfall online, which I fool myself into thinking helps with her reading... whee!

8. I've sent my kid back to school after lunch after he's sick in the morning.
There was one day where he said he had a headache and was just out of it enough that I kept him home. He slept all morning, then was up around 11. He so obviously felt better I sent him in, because there was no point in keeping him home.

11. Yeah, I've done that, too...
I thought about it for today, but she's still coughing a lot and I'd rather not spread the germs around...

4. Oh, I wish...
Benadryl didn't work last time we tried it with her (for a flight). If anything, it made her more hyper... and I'm ethically iffy about that, anyway...

7. Oh, I was kidding -- I only give it when they need it. The sleep is just a nice side-effect.

But, you know, there's nothing wrong with self-medicating YOURSELF with a glass of wine at lunch. :)

13. Hehe...
I almost said something in my post about over-reacting, owing to the grumpy mood I was in... :)

Wine would be lovely...
