2. Happy birthday Vince...er...Alice
is it true that he's gone Christian conservative. ( wouldn't surprise me)....Saw him just before they hit it big, in 1970. They did the whole Love it to Death album, but it hadn't been released yet. Started with Sun Arise, then as the rather generous portion of hash brownies kicked in, the memory starts getting fuzzy, but I do remember that they were one hell of a rock and roll band....... Trivia quiz: anybody know who did the original of Sun Arise? ( not a trick question; it wasn't Alice).

7. He may be a righty today,
but he helped me get through my teen years, so he gets a pass from me. Also, he has a sense of humor and isn't as obnoxious about it as Ted Nugent.

3. True story.
When I was teaching high school in CT, I moonlighted as the manager of a video rental place.

We were looking for help, and one day none other than Dennis Dunaway's resume came across my desk. THE Dennis Dunaway.

I hired him, but all I could think was Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Real nice guy, though.

5. Alice does a ton of charity work in Phoenix.
He sponsers a golf tournament and a Christmas rock and roll show.
He often talks on the radio and seems like a nice guy.

10. I've heard he does that
I think he's conservative, but not in that Ted Nugent/gun nut wackjob sort of way. Iggy Pop is much the same way-- more libertarian than anything, but they consider themselves conservatives.

13. I remember seeing him back in January of 1973...
He and the boys were playing at the War Memmorial Auditorium in Utica, NY...

Whilst onstage, he kept saying "uterus noo yawk"... I thought that was sooo f-ing funny!!

15. Someone on the tour said that if you had to give the US an enema...
Utica is where one would insert the nozzle.
I remember reading that in "Billion Dollar Baby" (the only good book that Bob Greene ever wrote)

14. Screw you, Alice Cooper.
You're a small-minded, greedy, opportunistic dirtbag who earned a living by encouraging defiance of the Establishment, and then when you'd made YOUR fortune, you joined the Repukes and started helping them oppress everyone else. Go play another 18 holes with McCain, asshat. You're the biggest "traitor to rock" of them all. Even Ted Nugent isn't as big a dick as you are.

:grr:
