1. Mashed potatoes.
Or mac and cheese. Or waffles.

If it's fattening and starchy it makes me feel good.

13. It's gotta be a meat loaf sandwich
I make the "Quaker Oats Meat Loaf" recipe... a classic (and a prize-winning recipe, too). I buy "boneless beef stew meat" at the local market (chuck steak, basically) and grind it myself to guarantee top-quality ground beef. I usually bake a potato with the meat loaf and add a veggie on the side, which makes a wonderful meal, but that's nothing compared to the next day when I get out the Orowheat 3-seed Oatnut bread, add a little mayo, and have the COLD MEAT LOAF SANDWICH OF THE GODS.

43. Well, I have to say, now I buy it in a "packet" because it's easier to store...here's a tuna recipe
I made last night:

Mix up some canned tuna with some shredded cojack cheese and some reduced-fat cream cheese. (If you don't mind a little artificial flavoring, get the hickory smoked Starkist tuna OR add a quarter-teaspoon of Liquid Smoke to the mix.) Slice some roasted red peppers and mix them in too. Spread some on a tortilla, put another tortilla on top of it, and cook on a skillet until the tortilla browns a bit. Flip and cook the other side. Tuna-y melty goodness! Enjoy!

I have no idea where the name came from, but that's what we call it. Well, my brother in law calls it white trash food. Anyway, it's basically a pound of ground beef cooked in a loaf pan with cream of mushroom soup and tater-tots on top. It is soooo yummy!

57. Ochazuke.
Hot tea and rice, with toppings (usually seaweed, pickled plums, or fish).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ochazuke

http://epicureandebauchery.blogspot.com/2005/07/imbb-tastetea-ochazuke.html (includes recipe)

Packaged ochazuke mix (just add rice and water) is also popular, and OK in a pinch, though it's a bit like settling for instant chicken noodle soup from a pouch.
