I don't know whose voice it was. It was funny all the same, and Hamster was massively entertaining, of course.

I don't think I ever saw it on BBC America. We watched it on...hm...maybe Tech TV that became G4 or something like that. There was very little science involved. Let's put it this way: one of the most popular bits was "what food makes the smelliest farts?"
