3. It totally is and you should totally go
If you go, you have to camp overnight. It's a different place after all the tourists leave.

6. Wow! I didn't know you could do that!
My parents went ages ago, with my sister. Dad was a Civil War buff, so we visited just about every fort on the East Coast.

But my mom and sister went snorkeling while they were there, and got some cool pics of a barracuda!

I'm going to have to look into camping out there! :bounce:

7. The camping fee?
3 bucks per night per person.

You have to bring EVERYTHING including water, but it's a good time. Especially if you like birding or snorkeling.

8. Can't beat that!
We'd either have to drive down to FL or rent equipment once we got there, though. It's a drag trying to combine camping stuff with your regular luggage on a plane.

11. This is a socially irresponsible suggestion
but Target has sleeping bags for 15 bucks that are totally serviceable in such a warm/humid climate.

That's what I did, and it worked out great. :D

10. I don't know, but I'll probably have to get one. My grandson declared to me that
he has "minions" now. They consist of a couple of toy robots and a few teddy bears. But loyal minions need a moat behind which they can defend their master. B-)

15. Well, I'd probably build a drawbridge so I could get across it...
...and I might swim in it a little bit if it were the kind of moat that's more like a pool and less like a ditch. One of those I would be down with.

29. Fill it with anti freeze, because the damn thing would be freezing over
with temperatures in the teens. Then when it's warm I think I would stock it with stingrays.

23. Time for some Biological Warfare! Muahahahaha.
I'd fill it with fishies; all kinds of fishies. Geneva? I don't need no stinking Geneva Convention in My "International Waters"

Hmmm...

Let's see:
Puffer fish
Barracudas
Piranhas
Portuguese Men of War
Box Jellyfish
Blue Ring Octopus
Stonefish
Great White Shark
Sea Snakes
Cone Shell

and just for the fun of it:
some Saltwater Crocodiles (if it's salt water)

I may add some guppies, bettas, goldfish, and angelfish too, just to lure people closer, then

27. Oh, that's good thinking.
When they see the 16 foot saltwater crocks and the Great Whites, they'll piss themselves and Presto! Instant awareness that they've trespassed at the wrong person's castle.

26. I'd probably have a drawbridge that didn't work
or wasn't built flush, so it wasn't wheelchair accessible, or something stupid like that, and I'd be stuck inside the moat. :grr:

That would be my luck.
