was some yelling going on as my neighbour downstairs was about to slice a woman across the face. I went to testify and the victim and her boyfriend (the main witnesses) didn't even show up to testify. They allowed me to give my statement to the defense attorney before the hearing because I lived out of town. Was pretty benign affair. Don't know what the outcome was.

I have never testified at a trial...
That sounds pretty gruesome...
Hope the lady got away without being sliced!

and thought that is strange..that lady has a beard. Of course it was blood. I didn't know until the next day when the police were going over the house that it was an actual stabbing or that the "beard" was blood. I was sure glad to get out of there. I lived in a nice neighbourhood it was just the two houses side by side that were very creepy. I am so relieved to be living where I am right now.

I was a designated expert for a particular portion of a state agency that experiences fraud on occasion. Most of our criminal cases were settled out of court, but every now and then someone would go to trial, and I would have to verify the amount of benefits that were paid.
