I am officially desperate

I just applied today for what sounds like an entry-level job that I an totally overqualified for. And what is worse ... I am pulling strings to try to get myself hired. At this point, if it pays more than I can get in unemployment benefits, it's a good job.

Well... wish me luck... I guess.

2. i'm in the same boat

i'm applying for anything and everything i can find. i took a menial part-time job last october just to stretch out the unemployment. problem is, like you, i'm so over-qualified for most of the work in my town and, with unemployment rates what they are here, there's so much competition for everything.
