. . . unless I need to go somewhere and they don't want to come in off the lanai. Then they get that selective hearing all kids have when they want to pretend they don't know you're talking to them. (Is two a herd? I'm going by sound quality, mind you.)

Two does indeed make a herd of buffalo based on the sound, I have two and when they're running that's exactly what it sounds like.

If I call any of the other cats, Piglet will show up first. Dora, Vader and Trin will both come when I call them, but not as enthusiastically or reliably as Piglet- their worlds are much less centered on me.

The two youngest, that I raised from kittens, do. The older two adult rescues do not. One is just a loner tom cat and the other is extremely skittish.
