What's for dinner, DU?
Here's a pic of the plate that's currently in front of me:

Teriyaki beef with broccoli, sugar snap peas, red pepper strips, carrots, mushrooms, onions, and rice.

What are chip chops?

Love me some homemade mac n' cheese, although we don't have it often.

9. Chip Chops - Alton Brown's recipe
for salt and vinegar potato chip breaded pork chops. They're heavenly. :9

Bi-Baby is in charge of the macaroni and I'm in charge of the chops.

The chops are a 2 minute fry and then about a 30 minute bake if I remember correctly. We lent the cookbook out so we have to wing it.

11. Oooooo! That sounds amazing!
I love salt and vinegar chips. I've used them to help bread fried fish before, but never pork chops. I'll have to try that!

12. You'll be hooked
Bread as you normally will (egg, flour, chips) then (if I remember correctly - we'll see how it turns out) fry it in veg. oil for a minute per side. Then bake it for 30 minutes on some temperature we haven't determined yet.

3. My dear Lyric!
Ah, your dinner looks very yummy!

We're having stew in a little while...

I just stirred it and it could use a bit more time!

Beef stew...carrots, potatoes, onions, beef broth and minute tapioca for gravy!:9

6. That sounds awesome.
I've never used tapioca for gravy--what an interesting idea. Is it powdered or still in the form of balls?

10. I guess you'd say it's powdered...
I use 2 cups beef broth with 1/3 cup minute tapioca, and it makes the prettiest and tastiest gravy I ever had!

I pour the tapioca over the rest of the stew, and put the broth in last...

Into the 350 degree oven, covered for about 3 hours...Stir now and then. I use 2 pounds of stew beef and enough vegetables to make everyone happy!

I'll take and post a pic later so you can see how yummy it looks!

20. Thanks! It was good...
Alas, no red wine...

Oooh, BTW, your wine was consumed recently with some friends, and it was greatly enjoyed! Unfortunately, I was in DC for the inauguration, and didn't get any of it...

My husband did assure me that it was a hit...
