12. No , actually have only driven by em a few times on that highway north from Alamosa

most of my long-gone days of serious hiking/climbing were in New Mexico. What little I did in Co. was in the San Juans ( around Silverton and Telluride etc).Speaking of which, one of the great moments of my alleged musical career was playing and singing at the 1990 Telluride Jazz festival. One of the handful of times I had the illusion of being an actual somebody in the music world. Was treated like a king by the wonderful people there, and will never forget that.

My husband and I drove down there when we went to Boulder a few years ago (well, I guess that was about 10 years ago). They kind of freaked me out a little. I thought if we hiked too far we would get lost in there.

I really liked this small little town that we visited, but I can't remember the name of it now. Evergreen maybe? The flat irons were nice (my husband climbs).

10. Let me tell you what those fantastic Californians did over here...

They all moved to Boulder and found beauty. After their collective epiphany, they decided that they wanted to preserve the open space surrounding Boulder and capped city growth.

The result?

NO ONE CAN AFFORD TO LIVE IN BOULDER.

Except for other Californians who are looking to "settle down." x(

19. I like how when you're driving in the mountains

you're looking at one gorgeous view and then turning a corner on the highway face another completely different breathtaking scene.

Also, Denver has lots of park and open space, and is very dog friendly!
