Alright, I think I'm going to plug my puter into my TV. What do I need?
I'm watching the vast majority of my TV over the internet these days and I just tried Netflix streaming and I love it.... soo..... time to hook the PC up to the TV. The back of my computer doesn't have the right output jacks so I'm assuming I will need some kind of video card? And I guess I'd better get a wireless card so I don't have to run Ethernet all over the house. Anyone got any recommendations?

My SO has her media center PC hooked up to her TV. Downloaded movies look GREAT!

4. The puter is a bottom-of-the line Dell tower
It doesn't have anything on the back that looks like standard TV video output, so I'm thinking new video card. That's really what I'm looking for recommendations on. The TV has the usual video jacks and I think it has that new S video jack as well. I'll have to pull it out and see. I'm guessing I'll want some kind of switcher box too so I can switch between the puter and the DVD and other stuff.

Ugh, last time I dug into the AV side of things it took me 2 days and 3 trips to Radio Shack to get it all worked out, but I think now that I don't have cable, it'll be worth it to watch internet TV on the TV.

5. check out this link
http://www.howtodothings.com/electronics/a3543-how-to-use-your-tv-as-a-computer-monitor.html

What your asking can be done but... You probably need a good video card. Good cards need power, so checkout the power supply in your computer and also find out what kind of card it can use, the type of slot (AGP/PCI/PCIE).

I would ask over on the computer board I'm sure someone there could answer this better.

6. Does your tv have a vga port on it? If so, then you can use it as a monitor for the CPU.
