Tell me what you like about Wyoming...

For me it's Yellowstone.

Been more than 40 years now, and I still have vivid memories of being there.

1. I LOVE Yellowstone!that is one truly amazing place. Also: driving the BearTooth,

the Tetons, Thermopolis with the free hot spring public pools, and the buffalo ranch, the little town of Metitsi (sp) with a mighty fine little cafe, Cody with the museum and touristy Wild West stuff, really nice summer weather.

No, my real answer is ... The Grand Tetons. Oh, and "My Friend Flicka" was set there, so that gave me my earliest impression of Wyoming.

12. There's a lot I like about Wyoming

The big things have mostly been mentioned: Yellowstone, the Tetons, Devil's Tower, and such.

But aside from the big attractions, I like that you can drive on an interstate highway system for an hour without passing or being passed by anyone. I like the night sky, because it's easy to get away from the light pollution in Wyoming, so a sky full of stars is brighter then you get in most places. I like the way thunderclouds roll over the Big Horn Mountains, swallowing them whole. I like Sand Turn, which looks out from eastern edge of the Big Horn Mountains over a good chunk of Northern Wyoming. (There's a picture of the view below; it's also great at night.) I like some of the people, too :)
