FWIW, I stuck with a bad marriage for two decades "for the kids' sake." When I finally sucked it up and jettisoned him, they informed me it was a huge relief and they wished I'd done it sooner. Kids know when stuff isn't right and I realized I had done a lot more damage trying to preserve the two-parent façade.

Yes, it will hurt for a bit, but as long as you never use them as a weapon or badmouth each other to them, they will probably thank you down the road. :hug:
