If I lose another four tenths of a pound by Monday
I will have lost 20 pounds in a month. I think I'm going to come up a little bit short, but that's a damn good month anyway. I wish it would work that well until I've lost all I need to lose, but I don't think it's going to.

As far as sheer bulk goes, I eat as much as I used to eat. I just don't eat out all the time and I don't consume sugar and alcohol anymore. I also eat more frequently than I used to. I eat 3 small meals and 2 snacks a day. I usually don't get hungry, either. This has got to be the miracle diet. But, yeah, it's low fat and low carbohydrate.

4. Yeah that alcohol will do it to you
And I do miss having a beer or two every so often. They assure me at the clinic that I'll be able to have the beer again once I get the weight off as long as I don't over-do it. But I really don't miss it all that much. I miss sugar more than anything, but I am allowed to eat some fruit for one of my snacks as long as it's fresh fruit, and that usually helps out with the sugar cravings.

5. I used to be a sugar freak as a kid but that went away when I was older.
Maybe smoking and abusing my taste buds had something to do with that. :)

I figured out a long time ago that my health pretty much depends on getting exercise twice a day. I feel better, I eat better, the impulse to cheat with wine or whatever diminishes. It really is as simple as putting on shoes and going for a decent walk.

Anyway, congrats!
