March 5, 1963: Country music loses three of its biggest stars. Patsy Cline ("Crazy," "I Fall To Pieces"), Cowboy Copas ("Alabam"), and Hawkshaw Hawkins ("Soldier's Joy") are all killed in a plane crash in Camden, Tennessee.

but the voice of Patsy Cline was sublime.
