Can someone please explain to me how Nip Tuck has lasted this long?

I'm not a person who gets squeamish of Hollywood blood and guts, and so I was intrigued for the first two years, but, geez the sexual relationships that go on in that show. I mean, who hasn't fucked everyone else on that show? Since none of them are terminal because of some sexually transmitted disease, I assume they're keeping the Latex industry afloat though, frankly, some of those hook ups appeared a bit spontaneous.

I mean, I guess what I'm asking is, who after the second season, is still watching it, and why?

1. They lost me halfway through the first season.

I'm guessing the show now barely resembles the show I watched, so I couldn't tell ya.

3. I made it through the second because it was interesting to see how

dysfunctional people try to resolve things by putting themselves under the knife. And I even could understand the dysfunctional doctors and their dysfunctional family members. But people usually learn from extreme mistakes, or they die. And in this show, there are no real consequences. It just goes on and on. It's just too California for me.

2. It's still on?

I loved it the first season or so, but once I got bored with Christian's butt shots, the story line just. . . pissed me off. I guess I need my gratuitous sex to have a point (which is probably why no one in porn has really grokked women). How is it that FUX was clever enough to be cutting edge enough to make a series that pushed the limits, but not hep enough to know when they'd crossed the line into pointlessness?

4. Either it's still going on, or

it's in syndication on another channel and the commercials are giving me that impression.
