I heard that there had been previous bird hits on his plane in the same place, so it is interesting that he can talk about it at all with all the lawyers: frequent flyer said that he texted his wife "goodbye" after an extremely loud crashing noise on that plane a week before.

3. BINGO! A passenger opened a rear door.

The cabin attendant tried to close it, but once it was opened water began to flood in.
Damn!
If they'd kept the rear doors closed the airplane would probably have floated a lot longer.
